Welcome sports fans! This thread is for discussions about the newly formed Grey League, the Blood Bowl league for Tillamook County, Oregon. If you’re a League member, tell us about your teams and your games! If you’re not a member, but you’re interested in getting into Blood Bowl locally, speak up and we’ll drag you in!

Okay, so it looks like 9 AM to noon this Monday (17 FEB 2025) will work for everyone (if not, please let me know ASAP). We’ll be pairing off for a “preseason practice” game so everyone can get used to how their teams play and how the game itself works. Nothing in these games will be considered “real” — you won’t actually receive any gold coins or Star Player Points, your dead players won’t really be dead, etc. as far as actual League play is concerned, so feel free to try out all your special team rules and other nonsense because there will be no lasting consequences either way.

Please at least have your teams glued to their bases and jersey numbers on ’em somewhere (if you haven’t primed yet, a silver or white sharpie on the black base oughtta do the trick).

Also please make an account on Tourplay.net and download the associated app; it’s a fun tool to track league games. I’ll post something later tonight about how to create your team and attach it to the League. It won’t cost you anything (I’ll foot the bill for the fee; it’s minor).

        The bone-crunching fun starts Monday!

          How to use Tourplay:

          1) Go to Tourplay.net and click on “LOGIN” in the upper left. It’ll open a smaller box where you can register (pretty much just like any other website).

          2) Once you’ve gone through all the steps to get registered, click on “Leagues” in the left-hand column. It’ll show you a whole bunch of Blood Bowl leagues; you’re looking for “Grey League: Season I”. (You can find it with the search function or, at least for now, it’ll probably be pretty near the top of the list, as I just created it today.)

          3) From the Grey League: Season I page, click on the yellow “REGISTER” button on the right. Then you’ll be able to pick your team type, team name, and team primary color (it’ll be used as background on Tourplay). Also put “Grey League” in the “Gaming group” box; I’m not sure what that does, but I’m keen to find out. Then click REGISTER at the bottom.

          4) It’ll show you the team you just started creating. Click on it, and it’ll take you to the roster construction page. You’ll see “Sideline Staff” and “Players” sections, both with a grey + button next to them. The former is where you add rerolls, assistant coaches, cheerleaders, and dedicated fans, and the latter is where you add players. Once you’ve got them all added, you can click on the individual players to change their jersey numbers and names.

That’s pretty much it! Let me know if you have any difficulties; some Tourplay functions range from “a bit unintuitive” to “utterly incomprehensible”.
